Director Bank Follow Ch Select

I am running Director 1.72 on a Surface Pro 4. I would like to see the Bank view follow channel select like on a DLive surface. Seems a bit odd that bank view follows layer select. For my purposes, it allows me to control the bank view with an IP8. But there are other situations where I could see the need to switch layers on my PC but still want my bank to show the channel I had previously selected.
