I would like to have a “Pre Trim Direct Out” Source Option.
This could make the patch process in Mon & FoH & Recording setups e.g via Dante easier, especially if DX extenders are in play.
Idea: The patch of all input sockets to the channel is done on the “main” console, this “layout” could be 1:1 patched using “pre trim” direct outs for example to a Dante card. When ever the main console repatches an input from a Local Socket to a DX Extender, it automatically is also available to the 2nd console as well, this would work perfectly in festival situations. Each console still have its trim to adjust levels.
So far I used tielines to realize this feature to route my signals between gain and trim. Unfortunately, you always have to think about the DX Extender when repatching.
Is this the only way? Or is there an alternativ approach?
