We are running a GLD80. I have choir mics assigned to a DCA. My problem is, if I PFL the individual mics or PFL the Choir DCA, I can hear the proper volume of sound. But, If I PFL the MAIN, I can barely hear the choir mics in the Main Mix. I’ve tried pulling the volume on the DCA up and the individual mic. any suggestions on why volume not in the main mix at the level it should be?
Unless I am missing something it sounds like a gain staging problem. Do you have your headphone control and PFL level up high? If so then what maybe happening is that the level is still way too low in the mix but seemingly loud in the channel PFL. Thing to do is get the levels correct on the meters and mix PFL. Then adjust PFL or hp level to suit.
