DCA spills – arranging layers

Maybe I just haven’t done it right, but I can’t seem to assign the strips the way I’d like to lay them out when building DCA spills – what I want to do is my spills so they always fall with inputs on the left, then FX, then groups… in an ideal world I’d be able to arrange that so every DCA fell into the same strip arrangement (meaning say 8 inputs, a couple of FX in a given order, and a group at the end of the bank), and even add spaces as necessary (as per regular bank arranging)… am I daft & just missing how to do this, or am I wanting it to do something it won’t?
