Forums › Forums › Other A&H products › Custom Control iPad connection not persistent
Hello!
I am an end user who has just installed an AHM-32 to replace our church’s matrix processor.
I have configured a simple Custom Control layout using the Mac software and have uploaded it to the AHM-32.
I am running into an issue with Custom Control running on our iPad.
From the iPad, I am able to see the AHM-32 and connect to it using the admin user.
It downloads and operates the Custom Control layout without any issues.
When the user closes the cover or the iPad otherwise locks or falls asleep, once the iPad is unlocked / awakened the Custom Control app loses its connection to the AHM-32.
The iPad Custom Control app needs to be force quit and reopened, then reconnected to the AHM-32 and it works again.
This is not a good situation for those operating the system while an event is taking place.
Am I missing something in the configuration that will allow the Custom Control app to have a persistent connection?
Would an Android or other handheld (non-wired) device enable a persistent connection?
What else might you need to know in order to help?
Any assistance with this last little bit would be appreciated.
Thank you,
—
Brian
