ok, apologies in advance as I know it’s user error and i’m missing something obvious – but how do you playback multitrack recordings from channels 17-24?
Ch’s 1-16 are easy, go to config-inputs, set them to digital and press play on the recording. But I cant find any way to set channels 17-24 to be able to play (I can see that those channels have signals through the recording screen when I hit play – but can’t get that signal to play through speakers).
I’ve got channels 21/22 set to “st-in”, channels 23/24 set to “main l/r” and I want to be able to play those channels back at the same time as instruments from ch’s 1-16. (Also, i want to do it from the desk, as it’s just for recording quick practice on backing tracks to see how things sound, and I don;t want to have to go out to a DAW, but I want to be able to control ch levels so don;t want to do it from a straight stereo recording.)

The elapsed time count reflects 2:49 of recorded audio and the meters move when the play button is activated, however there is no audio available. (the lights are on but no one is at home) This is apparently a very different internal protocol than the ubiquitous USB A&H has previously offered and for those folks that have figured it out, a much better one.
The CQ is a no brainer for solo performers and a very vital element with many solo performers is deployment of BU tracks. The new SD card should be a perfect solution for easy soft button management of individual stereo BU tracks if we can figure out how to do it. At this point there is no clear detailed walk thru to achieve these ends with a CQ20b: unfortunately helpful AM&S teck return calls are now problematic.

what do you need MainLR and the outputs for?
If you play the digital inputs, the CQ’s processing produces all outputs and the MAIN, just like you record it bevor.
assuming you are running the same show or scene. Good if you had saved it.
Or record MainLR on USB as a stereo track if you want to hear only the summary.
Playing both at the same time makes no sense in my opinion.Rx Thomas
