I’m guessing I can’t do this, but worth at least asking.

I run Ableton Live on my PC. I currently have a Focusrite interface. From that interface I can map individual inputs in Ableton (1-8)

I’d love to do this with my CQ18T and I had a sneaky suspicion I could but I’m thinking maybe not.

I can “see” the CQ18T in Ableton, but I only have 1 and 2 for INPUTS. I was “hoping” I would see 1-16 and could map them to separate tracks in Ableton (multi-track record into my DAW?)

If that’s not possible can someone elaborate on what I “can” do with the CQ18T as it relates to my Ableton. I have it plugged in using USB-B

    Thanks for any help.

    OK I’m CLOSER!!!!

I can record INPUT from the CQ18T after installing the ASIO driver.

However…I CANNOT get sound to go TO the CQ18T from Ableton. Must be something incredibly stupid. Any ideas? Help?

    Thank you!

Basically I want to be able to hear the master out from Ableton pushing back to the CQ18T when I playback. Can I not do that?

I would assume it would play back to the USB input no?

    @tronious

    You’re very close indeed!
With the USB stereo channel in the CQ as a complete channel – go to the preamp section.
In here you will see noted the USB channels currently feeding that channel (should be 19/20 for the CQ-18T).
Send your Ableton output to these channels.
You can then process/monitor/mix this channel as with any other input.

    Cheers!
    Keith.

Very useful thread that I’ll be bookmarking as well for future reference (as I’ll be in the same boat once my CQ-18T arrives).

Thanks for all your posts on this, tronius (it’s very helpful for new audio techs like myself).

And Keith–I love all of the videos you’ve put out there on the CQ line (I’ve been watching a lot across YouTube) and they are very helpful.

    Thank you!
