    I’m about to buy a CQ-20B, and intend to mount it in an SKB 6-space rolling rack. (1SKB-R6W)
    In this topic, https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/dependability-and-moving-from-mackie-dl-to-ah-cq#post-116162. @mfusa mentioned that his racked CQ-20B gets very hot.
    Since my main concern is reliability, I want to be sure that this heat won’t become a detrimental issue (especially at an outdoor summer gig in the sun!)

    Thoughts?
    Thanks!
    John

    @John

    Although I don’t have my CQ-20B in a rack as that would be counterproductive to have something so small housed in a rack. I wouldn’t be concerned about it overheating unless you had it sat in direct sunlight, however, that would be the same for any digital board. I have both my QU-SB and AB168 in a shallow 6u rack and neither of those suffer with the heat, especially the SB as that is fanless.

    🙂
