Is there a secret way to copy all settings (except patching) of a respective input channel in a single run?

Hold copy button then hit the channel select button. All will be copied except preamp settings.

if you want to copy the preamp settings as well, the best way is to copy the complete channel into the library

    – The library thingy does not work in Director 1.63. Hitting “lib” does do nothing
    – copy+sel does not copy the Aux sends. Found no other way to get this going

Copy + Sel copies the channel processing.
Copy + Mix copies the mix assignments and send levels.

    Thx Nicola!
Is there a reason the channel “lib” seems to be not working in Director 1.63?

the libraries work fine with me, both in 1.62 and 1.63
    how do you choose them?

    ah, I have a hunch:
you selected a channel, but the processing screen is still in BANK?

switch it to OVERVIEW, then it works with the Librarys as well. 😉

that might be one reason for a wish:
it would be nice if you could select the channel library in the BANK view as well.

Thanks, that’s how the “lib” way works. But only the processing gets stored in the lib, no send levels nor headamp settings.
And storing or copying the processing (using lib or copy+sel) does not include inserts either.

So we are still far away of a fast way to copy the complete channel. Right now it takes four actions to do it, if a channel includes a insert. 5 if 2 inserts are used.

that no send levels are stored in the processng libraries is clear. only the channel’s processing settings are stored here.
but the headamp-data is also stored in the library! you only have to make sure that “Recall Preamp” is activated.

that the inserts are not stored in the libraries I have also criticized already. it would be nice if this would work.

Oh, I have overseen the “Recall Preamp”. Thanks for the clarification.
So if we could get the possibility to store inserts and send levels in the library, and this could be a switchable option to suit everyones needs, we would have a streamlined solution in one place.

Who is adding this to the wish list?

I also remember that we have mentioned these themes before.
but there’s no harm in picking it up again.

Is there an official wish list?

No, there’s no official wish list.
the wishlist is at A&H, we don’t have any insight into it.
