    Hi everyone!

We’ve got a GLD-80 with DANTE option card installed, AR2412 and AR84 dSnake units. We’re running the Behringer personal mixer system, and its input module accepts 16 analog inputs or two optical ADAT inputs. We’re currently using all 16 of our dSnake return channels to feed the personal mixers. I’d like to see if we can free up some of those channels though.

I’m wondering if there’s a somewhat inexpensive way to convert the DANTE or dSnake channels to feed those ADAT inputs? Cheapest solution I’ve found so far is a Rednet 3 DANTE to ADAT converter at $1500. Anybody know of any other options?

Another option I just realized: since the GLD-80 supports the Allen & Heath or Aviom network protocols, you can assign the monitor channels as an Aviom network, and buy a used Aviom AN-16/o output module for a few hundred bucks. Then connect the Aviom module to the dSnake monitor port, and Aviom outputs to the Behringer input module. It would free up all the dSnake return channels and be probably the cheapest option.
