Haven’t set this up yet but noticed in the manual that one needs to make sure to connect network to a LAN port. Could someone explain what all needs to be done to connect a router to my SQ6? Not a real techy so any info would be appreciated. Should be getting router this week. Any advice on routers?

    You need a cable… CAT5 or above

As for the routers I carry with me TP link Archer C7 and Netgear R7000 routers.

As for the general router set up..
    – Use the 5g broadcast only, far less traffic in the 5g band….at least for now!
    – Turn off the 2.4g broadcast.
    – Hide your SSID name broadcast.
    – I set up the DHCP handout range starting at .100 up to only maybe .110
    – Set your mixer to static IP address.

The router out of the box will have an IP address of 192.168.1.1
I would change the third octet to something other than .1 to make it more
unique to your set up, maybe .6
That would make the route IP address 192.168.6.1
Maybe make the static IP on the mixer 192.168.6.6

You DHCP address will start at 192.168.6.100

If you this general outline to someone who has set up routers before
they’ll knock this out in no time.
