Can you use a separate analog mixer to connect to the QU32 in order to have a live mix for streaming to the web.
There doesn’t seem to be any direct outs for each channel.
If not, how can I get a sperate live mix for this purpose?2021/04/12 at 5:15 am #100633Use analog splitters for all inputs. That would be the best solution because you have a complete independent processing incl. gain control for both,FOH and streaming.

Use a mix out from the Qu 32. We use mix78.
You do not need another analog mixer in the middle between the Qu and your PC with OBS.2021/04/12 at 5:01 pm #100641Analog splitter, not familiar with them. Most (not all) of my channels are fed from the stage via cat5. Can the splitter pick up the signals from the cat5 signal?

and often conflate the problem with other things that are not really involved.2021/04/12 at 10:24 pm #100647I am using the QU 32 along with the AB 168 stage box. This is a church service setup.
We have the live instruments coming from the stage to the QU32 in the back of the room. The vocal mics are wireless units that have the receivers plugged directly to the QU 32. So we have both analog and D snake inputs.
The house mix is great- no problems.
Sending the house mix to our Canon camera for streamimng to youtube is the issue.
Example:We don’t need to amplify the drums or grand piano or electric bass much in the house mix and as a result they cannot be heard in the streaming service.
I’d like to be able to mix the streamed service sound seperately on another board so as not to interfere with the main mix.
We did this a few years back with our old analog A/H board using direct outs to the secondary board.
How to I replicate that process with the QU32? Willing to buy whatever will make this work.2021/04/13 at 12:09 am #100649@Jon
Same problem many of us faced.
Same solution will work for you.Do not send the house mix to the camera! Do not send any line level mix to the CAMERA mike input.
Use one of the mixes on the Qu (ours is mix78 and there are others unused after that). And direct it to the PC, not the camera.
Send it to an audio interface that goes to the pc with OBS (or whatever software) to merge the video and audio for streaming.
OBS will work its magic and process it then ship it to utoob or facebook or whereever.That mix out will not interfere with the main mix.
Use the Qu You ap to do it yourself or to make changes, or do it on the Qu first.You do not need another board.
OBS has additional plug ins and features to tweak the audio more.We have the same exact situation as you have.
We use mikes on the piano and organ to morph in the mix going to the video feed.
You should need to buy nothing except perhaps an audio interface to feed the computer from mix out on Qu.
And possibly (if you dont have it) an interface to feed the HDMI on the computer from the camera.The Qu already does what your old secondary analog board was doing for you.
2021/04/13 at 12:48 am #100650An analog splitter is more or less a bunch of Y cables built into a snake box, some
will have transformer isolation on one side of the split, with your set up
that would be kind of tricky to do with local inputs at the mixer and inputs from the
stage box.
There are no direct channel outs on a QU, closest thing you could do would be create
sub mixes/ stem mixes of various inputs using group or mix outputs and send those
to a mixer to create a live stream mix.As mentioned if you have an open mix use one to create a mix for the live stream, you can set the mix to post fade, make the needed channel level adjustments on the mix sends for the live stream and that mix will still follow the general main mix then.
If you set the mix to pre fade someone will need to more or less be hands on mixing the live steam feed all the time.
The QU You mix APP can be set up to only allow adjusting the mix sends to a selected mix. They could mix remotely and monitor with headphones or in another room with a set of small speakers.What type of audio inputs does your video camera have?

We can try the QU App option, also mentioned in another response here.
It just seems a bit cumbersome since you can only see 7 or 8 faders on the screen without scrolling left or right.
We’ll try and group the channels a bit more logically lessen the scrolling back and forth.

Remember if you are out of mixes on the QU and you have a group that is open you can
switch a group over to be another mix.On the QU APP you can create four mix groups, that’s what the thumb wheels are on the main screen, maybe put vocal one, instruments on another, drums on one and then the
spoken word mic used during the service on the “ME” group.You can still mix the overall balance of the channels and then just use the group
wheels to bring them as a group up or down in level.Use the camera XLR inputs, make sure they are set to line level.

the mix send levels for a live stream mix, they can get into other sections
of the mixer that are controlling the main mix though.QU You only will let them get to the video stream mix.

Hope someone can help me with an answer.
We have a church setup. Using a Qu24 for main foh mix. Got a stage box on stage where all channels are going in. Looking for another desk to mix Livestream. Maybe a Qu16. Thinking of using an analog splitter before the stagebox to split channels to both desks.
What would happen if by mistake I switch 48v on Qu24 and on Qu16 at the same time?
Have anyone done this? -
