When I want to change the name or color of a channel through the Name and Colour tab, which has already been assigned on the strip, I have to go through the selection type and what channel that specific channel is located. To make it easier, when the Name and Color tab is open and I select a channel on the board, it should automatically switch to that channel in the tab instead of scrolling through to find it.

There are better methods to set names and colour after the initial setup phase. Upper Left corner of the screen, for example. This overlay window follows the select.

I always start my preprogramming with the I/O patch after the mixer config. In the I/O matrix you can also rename the channels when clicking on the left in- or output colum. For me this is the fastest and most easy way of naming the in- and outputs. It also allows me to find the channels a little faster for the strip assignment.

But a nice idea would be to enanble an option to name the channels either in numerical order or by strip assignment. I would love it for festivals. 😉

I will also mention that a USB keyboard attached to the surface is really, really nice for naming things.
Even if you don’t have desk space to have one all the time it can be nice to have one for show file setup.
