    Hi,

    For some reason channel 9-12 on my QU16 mixer are automatically muted when I boot the QU16. I simply can’t unmute them.
    I have no mute groups and I’ve made a new scene and they are still muted. When I press the mute button to unmute the channels nothing happens and nothing happens when I press the reset-button+mute-button. They are still muted. I’ve tried rebooting the mixer several times resetting scenes and making new scenes and it still doesn’t help.

    Does anyone know what to do?

    Best, mlll

    @Mill

    Could be hardware failure. Or not.
    Could use some more info.

    What firmware version? Is there a newer one?

    Have you done a factory reset to a fresh start?
    Save your SHOW first! That saves the scenes too.
    But test the mute buttons before you reload any scenes for reuse.

    Our Qu boots into a default scene. Dont know if that is left over from the dealers installation or what.
    We then select the scene we want for church at that time.
    But that default scene causes problems if we dont switch from it before we start.
    I really wish AH would boot to a totally all muted all faders down start by default.

    If will if you use a default scene and set it up like that. Ask whoever knows the admin password to resave the scene with the mutes in. Should only take a minute.

    @markpaman

    Thanks.

    I suspected that but I am not the admin and he has little interest in changing anything.
    Sort of if it is not broke enough that it works at all then leave it alone.

    Sounds like a great operating structure!!!!!!!

    Back to the mute question, are the channel mute buttons lit?

    If you select a muted channel and send input to that channel do you see any level indication on the channel meter?

    Are the “muted” channels assigned to the main mix or any mix for that matter?

    Do you ever get those channels to work in any way?

    By chance are they assigned to a stage box input that is not connected?

    @mikec

    It works well unless one of the volounteers makes a really dumb mistake.

    The MD focuses on music and leaves us alone.

    It is set up so all we do is mostly turn things on and off and select a scene.
    We can fiddle with the faders but he can override anything with his ipad ap.
    Or tweak things to his taste if we do nothing.
    Sunday AM is for the more experienced long term operators and they can play back powerpoints
    and mute all the other mikes when the preacherman is talking.
