Cant get more than 8 aux outputs

My SQ-5 offers me up to 12 aux outs. If I choose above eight, the groups disappear, and I dont get an “aux 9”, and the channels to go dark. If I choose more than four groups, my auxes disappear. and their channels go dark. This is driving me nuts. I am trying to achieve 12 auxes and no groups. Any help would be great. Thanks

The groups just disappear from the layer. You can add the remaining auxes to the desired layer using the strip assign screen.

As @Mfk0815 pointed out, you are only looking at the strip assignments. Don’t confuse those with how the desk is internally configured, as they are totally independent from one another. Configure the number of auxes and groups needed along with stereo channels, then configure the strip assignments.
