in my normal workflow doing monitor/InEar mixing, there are many communication microphones (from FOH, mine, from backlines, from band members). In “rehearsal” mode, everyone needs to talk to everyone. In “show” mode, all need be possible to talk to me, but backline, FoH shouldn’t talk to the band.
The problem with existing talk groups is, that only a dedicated socket can be chosen, where there is no possibility to use talk groups with more than one microphone (which makes it somewhat useless). Yes – I can build a I/O loop, but this is just not how it should work.
Also with ext. Input to CUE is the same issue !
