    I searched quickly but didn’t find this anywhere.

    A buss into a buss would be lovely!

    I like keeping my money fader going to its own buss, along with its FX, then into my main vocal buss so I have more control of it.

    Maybe I’m overlooking something but seems a buss can’t go into a buss.

    Wouldn’t a matrixes work in this situation?

    I’m already way too short on matrices unfortunately

    If you want to just control the money channel buss and the general
    vocal buss together as in over all level control you could put them
    on a DCA group.

    If you want a buss into a buss you have to take the first buss by an physical output then re inject it into an physical input and select the source in your second bus 😉

    But you will not keep the phase coherency !

    @Mike
    Yes, problem is I’m “hacking” my way into having two insert channels since SQ can only have 1 insert per channel.

    Money channel insert is DynEQ4
    Money buss insert is a Neve 5045 & UBK Clariphonic.

    Ultimately looking to have those buss down into my vocal buss with Opt comp to glue all vox together.

    I understand this is asking a lot for a small console, just trying to maximize what’s at hand.

    You can send an Aux buss (post fade for your situation) to a sub Group buss

    @hugo

    Yes though about that too, as you mentioned phase issues and it just isn’t very elegant.

    Hi,

    The SQ architecture allows for the following routing:
    Input > Group > LR/Aux > Matrix
    Shown in the diagrams here – https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402940459537-SQ-Basic-Signal-Path-Diagrams-Input-Group-LR-Aux-Matrix

    This provides 4x insert/EQ/compressor and phase coherency as described here – https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402940899857-SQ-Phase-coherent-mixing-in-SQ

    So I am afraid there is no intention of adding routing from a group to a group or LR/aux to LR/aux in the core as it would cause issues unless you were very careful with what you were doing and made allowances for added latency.

    The workaround for this as @Hugo mentions is to either use an analogue or digital loopback, which will achieve this at the cost of latency/coherency.

    Thanks,
    Keith.
