Thanks for bringing this to the fore. Multiple acts and stage people changing Di boxes and Mics’ without turning off PP “and waiting a few seconds” (definitely need to mute). I haven’t tried the scene change quite in the way you have described. And to send my desks to UK from NZ would be ridiculous. There is a service agent here…
However you need to remember that some mics hold onto their phantom for some amount of seconds after turning off PP. I got caught line checking a few times because of residual PP left in the mic.
All my desks have the pops and the phantom is slow to turn PP on/off.
I guess just have to mute and wait a few seconds
