Avantis connections

Hi all, just doing some research about Avantis and Dlive as we look to expand our inventory.
If I have an Avantis at FOH with a GX4816 At stage, if I want to connect a DX168 at foh; instead of running a cable from the GX4816 port back to foh can I use a GigaAce card?
I know I can also use a DX expansion card but would rather have all avantis with GigaAce cards for console to console connections. Thanks

I don’t see anything in the DX168 manual that it would work with GigAce… On the GigAce webpage it says that it would work with a DX Hub, but doesn’t mention DX expanders.

“It also enables connection from a dLive system to the DX Hub or GX4816 expander.”

If I were to take a guess, you could go from GigAce to the DX Hub and then connect the DX168 to the hub. To me, it seems like that would be really redundant.

DX168 needs DX ports. GigaACE doesn’t fit.
