So I have a show coming up with a rotating group audio engineers that could make a mistake. I will have a click track for the drummer that I never want to go out to the house (st).
Ideally I’d like to unassign it from the “main LR” bus but I can’t figure out how or even if it is possible.
I don’t trust that my techs won’t screw up and grab the stereo fader instead of the send fader when adjusting monitor mixes.
Workarounds I can think of and don’t like.
1. Run the house off of a mix instead of Main LR.
2. Assign click to its own DCA and leave it down all the time.
The mix send point is post gate and post EQ so I can’t slam the gate shut on it or attenuate it with trim.
Anyone have any other ideas?
