Hi I’m having problems Allen Heath zed 1000 so i had this unit so it’s been a nightmare with these mixers to be honest. My problem is once i bring the FX fader about 5 db you will start to hear kinda like a noise in speaker. I sent this mixer for repair the guy who worked on said in his shop hasn’t heard any noise what’s ever so I thought okay I hired electrician and i run wires straight from the breakers separate circuit all that fun stuff. The noise hasn’t gone away. Than i replace the FX board and that hasn’t solved anything.

Does the noise change if you select different effects?

Do you get the noise if all the yellow channel FX send knobs are
    turned down?

I meant turning down the effect send knobs on each channel
while leaving the yellow fader up.

That would rule out any noise getting sent to the FX from
    a channel input.
