Maybe anyone knows the error? I used the qu-16 an listened to music over the st3-Input. I also had an Audix d6 for a Bassdrum on Ch1 running. After a few minuts the QU16 stopped playing any Sound. All three St Channels showed constant Clipping also as the Main Channel. The RTA also shows clipping in every frequency. But there is no noise or whatever. Just nothing.
I allready changed the device and the wire for st3 and also the Mic and wire on CH1. After turning off the QU16 everything runs fine. After a few Minutes the same error appears. The error appears even with muted CH1 and no wire in it.
Does anybody know, what this error means and how to fix it?

2021/04/02 at 3:55 pm #100367Mike CParticipantYea that does not look good.
Maybe do a full reset and a firmware reload. After that contact A&H support.
How old is it?
2021/04/02 at 4:49 pm #100368volounteerParticipantDoes everywhere include the other 15 channel strips?
RTA clipping everywhere sounds like you somehow figured a way to trigger feedback. What are you doing with the other 15 channels?
How are you playing music into the ST3?
What happens if you play it into ST1 or ST2 instead. Is there a DAW involved?
Are you also recording anything?
What levels are the inputs set at on all the channels?
Are you using fx at all?
When it is first working what is the level on LR?What is the temperature in the location you are using all this kit?
Does it work normally except with ST3 in us?
It is either a bad Qu or UE but we need a lot more info to determine the actual cause.
2021/04/02 at 5:25 pm #100370Mike CParticipantIf you mute everything on all layers when the issue is happening
does that do anything.2021/04/02 at 5:44 pm #100371KlippParticipantHerr are four pictures of the qu16 while error appears:
Theres nothing running. No DAW, no recording. Just a Smartphone connected to st3 with Spotify running. All other Channels where muted. FX was open but just assigned to channels that where muted. Iam using this configuratin for years to make playalongs running while drumming to it. Nothing changed.
The qu16 is about 5-6 years old and is running in a practice room with a temperature between 15 and 30 degree Celsius.
The St channels just seem to be clipping. But there is no sound. Music stops. Nothing until I restart the qu16 and after a few minutes the same error.
2021/04/02 at 6:15 pm #100372volounteerParticipantDoes it have problems when you use the Qu otherwise or just in this situation.
When did the problem start.
What changed before the problem started? You should open a trouble ticket and find out for sure if it is a Qu problem.
They will probably tell you to take it to your dealer for testing and possible repair.2021/04/03 at 1:11 pm #100378Mike CParticipantStrange it’s just the stereo inputs.
As a last test before calling A&H I would disconnected everything
from the mixer and mute all channels, all sends and see what happens.Have you tried a full reset and firmware reload.
Back up you settings first!!2021/04/03 at 5:11 pm #100383KlippParticipantToday I did a factory reset and reload of firmware. The error is still there and appears with no cable plugged in, all faders down and all Channels muted.
Today I also contacted the german A&H Support. Lets wait, what they say. Meanwhile im quite Sure, I have to send it in for repair. I just hope, that it is a small repair and no need for a new Mixer.
2021/04/03 at 9:15 pm #100384Mike CParticipantWith that test I think it’s time it take’s a trip to A&H for service.
I guessing that it is out of warranty going by that the mixer has
the black rubber knobs and faders.
I have have a QU16 of that same vintage! -
