Hello ! (Sorry for my english)
I have recently bought that incredible (small) CQ-18T console, and been using the Zoom L20R for some time before.
The CQ-18T console is greater in many ways, the iPad’s app and the smartphone’s app are very useful for the band. The new 1.2 firmware is wonderful ! DCA and Custom groups are just what I needed. Just keep improving that console this way !
There are 2 “little” things that are less good than the Zoom L20R in my opinion :
– First it’s about the monitor outputs : 6 stereo for the Zoom L20 (switchable to mono), and 6 mono for the CQ-18T… My band and I are using IEM in stereo, and the sound is so bad in mono. Yes I know we can link 2 outputs for 1 stereo output but that way we only have 3 stereo output monitor and we are 5 in the band. So is it possible for you to add 2 more stereo outputs 7/8 that we can only use with the headphones output A/B ? That way we could be able to use the 2 headphones output to have 5 independent stereo outputs mixes!
– The second thing is about recording in multitrack. It is SO SLOW ! When I push record I have to wait 20 to 25 seconds before the recording starts… No signal start btw, I have to check the clock to see if it has started. Maybe could be improved in the future, but the previous item is much more important to us !
