Would love to be able to toggle my Waves patching In and Out, but I still have to rely on two soft key scenes for that because Actions isn’t quite powerful enough.

Need to be able to program assign some input patches and Insert patch changes for Auxes.

Hey Jonathan, you actually can do this with Actions and SoftKeys. In the Actions configuration, create a new action and add a new “Processing” function. Set the Mode to “Toggle”, set Channel Processing Function to “Insert A In” (could also choose the B insert, if that’s where your Waves processing is inserted), select the inputs or mixes that you’d like to be able to bypass, then tap apply. Assign the Action to a SoftKey using the “Action Recall” function. Based on my testing in Director 2.0, you’ll want to set the SoftKey Mode to “Recall”. Now when you tap the SoftKey, it will toggle between the insert states.

Hi Jacob. It’s actually only available for Input processing, and not Auxes or Groups. So I unfortunately can’t ditch my Waves On/Off snapshots for this just yet.

I don’t think that’s correct. I just tested it on inputs, groups, auxes, matrixes, and mains. It works like I would expect.

Ah. I see what’s happening. I’m just an idiot.

Haha Auxes only have an Insert A and I patch all my Waves Insert B on inputs…🤦‍♂️

I just need to add another Action line to effect Insert A for my busses.

Oh, good catch! I didn’t realize that.
