+4dB line-level – default state?

Since i need more than 2 inserts (analog compressor, phaser, multi band compressor) on my master bus, my current chain is:
Main LR -> Analog out (compressor) -> Group EXT IN (compressor return) -> 3 stereo matrixes.

However, there’s no way of defaulting the EXT IN level to standard +4 og -10. Instead i see the microphone gain and the pad.

What is the default state of +4 dB line level when using inserts? PAD IN and gain at zero dB?
