Firstly, what do you want to use the recording for?

Two-track can be done easily using something like a Zoom H4n recorder and the line-outs from the surface. Multi track depends on the cards you’ve got installed in your iDR. Do you want to multi track? What cards do you have installed?

The best way I’ve found is via Dante although I’m guessing Waves could be just as good. Recorded both main and second stage at a boutique festival last weekend using Dante and the results are just amazing. Plus the novelty of sounchecking a system using last nights bands tracks never gets old with me

.

Just remember kids no matter how good your mixing is you can’t polish a turd…
