Can the USB power supply on the desk be increased in watts/power to charge an iPad?

Currently the socket will not recharge my iPad as it does not produce enough power and when the iPad is plugged in it shows that its not charging.

    Cheers

You could just take the extra 3 seconds out of your day to pack your iPad charger.

That’s unlikely to happen, as it would require a hardware change.

FWIW, I’m not sure it’s a great idea to charge your phone/iPad from the surface. What happens if your USB cable shorts out? Nothing? Desk reboot? Hardware damage? That’s not a good risk/reward tradeoff in my book.
