Anyone used a Dante card with Apple Logic?

I use it all the time…

Outputs is a PIA but once you build your template is easy…

Logic will not free up 1&2 very well so I just set up aux busses to prefader/0db and then routed those to outs 3-66.

    T112, T80, iDR48 (2), iDR16 all w/M-DANTE, PL10, MixPads, Editor
    MacBook Pro, Mac Mini,PC
    Lion/Logic Pro/PT10/Reaper
    All latest versions/firmware

When you create a new project, enter the number of tracks you need in the New Tracks window. Set ‘Mono’ as the Format, select ‘Input > Input 1’ as the Input and ‘Output > Mono > Output 1’ as the Output. Tick both ‘Ascending’ option boxes, then click ‘Create’. This way Logic will automatically assign inputs and outputs. Each track will be sourced from and routed to the corresponding Dante channel.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks.

I am testing with Logic Express just now before buying Pro, it works OK with Reaper but as we are Mac based would like to try Logic.

    Will give it a go…

We just started using Dante and Logic Pro a few weeks ago. It does take a little while to get your head wrapped around the IO routing but it is pretty logical (so to speak).

If you’re already using Reaper then you probably have the clock reference, sample rates and iLive patching figured out. Those were tougher for me to sort through than Logic Pro was.

    Got it, I think…

Set up Logic rom scratch and set inputs and outputs in one go.

Only had time for a little test but foun dthat the faders in LOgic were all ‘ganged’.

Not sure if it’s doing this to keep levels the same as mix would be done on the desk.

Will have anothe rtry later but it seems much better than Reaper….

    Thanks…..
