Can anyone point me to the Analog In to Analog out latency spec for a iDR Mix rack? Or tell me what it is?
Also, thoughts on latency for the following:
iDR48 for FOH as primary > DANTE > iDR16 for MON > DANTE > back to IDR48 for the extra analog outputs…What will this round trip DANTE add to the overall?
Thanks

All latest versions/firmwareidr in-out is 1.6ms.
Surface-idr ia 1.7ms
each network hop over ACE adds .1ms
This is all on page something of the manualFor Dante, I don’t know. The CL says .25ms per dante hop, so .5ms round trip + the 2.5ms delay of the yamaha CL.

All latest versions/firmwareYeah, however don’t run some of your monitors out of one thing, and some out of another, or they’ll be out of sync…
MIDAS combatted this with their ‘dynamic latency’ thing, which will make all busses coherent… but also add up to 6.5ms of latency.long story short, route all on-stage sound sources this way if you care about phase

My plan is to use the 8 out on the iDR for IEM, then all stage wedges and and side fills back though the FOH mix rack.
I was thinking the lower latency on the IEM would be better….??

Spot on there. Besides sound is close enough to 1ms per foot that you’d probably still have to throw a delay on the monitors if the IEMs have vents.
