    Hi all, I wonder why it is necessary to record mwaves card.
    Do I need to buy something else? Is it better mdante for multitrack recording?

    ¿es necesario comprar algo más? ¿es mejor mdante para la grabación multipista?

    Hola iortxtriton,
    if you want to record through the waves IO-card, you have to install the soundgrid driver from the waves website (free).
    It will connect to the card via ethernet and act like a 64In/64out (ASIO or AU) soundcard.

    mDante is the best option if you want to distribute audio as well as record. For example if you want to do a FOH/Monitor/ broadcast split etc as well as record then dante can provide the splits and patching required using cheap gigabit network hardware.
