Hey long time reader and I just bought an iDR16. I’ve been trying to connect to it via a wired connection to no avail.
Editor and the rack’s firmware are both v1.9
I am running Windows 7 and my connection settings are:
    IP address: 192.168.1.100
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: 192.168.1.254

The manual doesn’t say anything about the default gateway but this video I was following did.

I have disabled my wireless and that didn’t make a difference. Any ideas? Any more information you need?

P.S My friend was able to connect his Macbook Pro to this iDR16 last night if that is at all helpful, but we want both of our laptops running at the same time.

    Cheers,
    Kasami

    Hi Kasami,
Did you check the connection status?
Expand the Network Adapters section, right-click your adapter, and then click Properties.
Under Device status, check to see that the device is working properly.
    Sent and received activity?
If you have a firewall it may be blocking the connection.
If you still having trouble try to download and install the latest version of the network adapter driver from the manufacturer’s website.
Sometimes w7, by default, install an wrong network driver.

    Cheers,
    Ciprian

Hey, thanks for the reply! Just found the solution now. I run virtual machine software and it suddenly worked if I disabled the virtual adapter.

    Thanks though!
