There is a two level save with scenes and shows. that is, when you edit a scene and store it, you also need to overwrite the show for the scene to be actually saved. (this is fine however a prompt to auto save the show from the screen store would be nice)..

    So here is issue:

When you over-write a scene it resets the scene name and then you need to recreate it.

    How to reproduce:

Create a show with a bunch of scenes.
    – edit the base show.
    – save the base show.
    – now do a bunch of stuff.
    – select the scene you what to over-write
    – select store.

( it now blows the scene name away — and sets it to ‘scene N’ where N is the scene ordinal number.

    – if you now recall the scene it seems to blow the config away.

    The workaround is too
    – now select the scene again.
    – retype the scene name
    – select store
    – go to show
    – select overwrite.

At this point the scene is updated.

If you don’t do the workaround you loose random scenes (not just the one you tried to overwrite). Which is particularly irritating

    Carl.

    Sam,

I have checked and I’m on V1.02. The issue can be repeated every time.

    Hi Carl

I Cannot reproduce the scene name being lost in the latest firmware v1.02.

Scenes are saved within shows therefore every time you update your scenes you will also need to overwrite your show for the scenes to be up to date.

Please contact A&H Technical Support if you still have issues They will be able to directly support you on resolving your issue.

Yes, I figured out you need to save the show, but even so I can reproduce it easily.

    Try this.

    Create a show.
    Create 3 users.
    Create 3 scenes.

Now don’t assign a show to one user and admin.

    – Recall Admin.
    – edit something, store the show.
    – swap users / force an auto scene recall.
    – swap user to one without a scene recall.
    – go to scenes tab, and select the first scene — (if you select one scene, then other, then the first one again it works. This is now my work around)
    – select store.

BANG — first scene is blown away & 3rd scene is corrupted.

    Carl.

    Hi Carl

I am afraid i had trouble following your reproduce procedure.

Please contact A&H Technical Support and submit a support ticket to report the issue. Also a video of the reproduce procedure would be useful if possible.

    Hi Carl

From further investigation we have now replicated this issue and a few other variations that can cause scene names to be reset. Well spotted this will be fixed in a future firmware update.
