I found it a bit strange that the GLD doesn’t have a firewire interface, now you have brought out the new recorder above, how will this connect to GLD?
If you have a GLD and want to multitrack record, the cleanest method (and cheapest) is to buy a Dante card and record direct to a computer via an Ethernet connection. See tha AudioNate website and Dante card info on the A&H site. This can record/playback ALL the channels of the GLD …..

Yes I know all about the Dante card and how much they cost, I’m looking at the competition and what they have on their desks….firewire is fairly standard I/O and would make the GLD more attractive to customers with a PC based recording software already installed and paid for, also why bring out a new bit of kit that won’t talk to your other new bit of kit?
