Headamp problem.

    Hi

    I have a problem with one of my headamp (C1) on my idr-32.

    I can just hear a really quiet sound up until 35 db gain, but on 36 db gain the problem disappears and the amp is working as normal (but then its just a bit to LOUD)

    I have used different shows and scene and still the same…

    any ideas before I leave it to the shop?

    I have had this same issue on a single pre on my current iDR48, and with a couple pre’s on my previous iDR32 – it was fixed with a replacement board last time (they have to do a row of 8, they’re on a single board – it was a known issue to them & they did it under warranty even well outside the 1yr warranty period), I’ve only just in the last few weeks identified it with my current rack & as it’s only one I’m not inclined to fuss with it (sending it off for the repair & waiting for it to come back is more hassle than putting up with one dodgy pre!)…

    That’s interesting – I also have one socket on my IDR48 that is faulty – preamp gain “jumps” in level and gives a crack when you go past 19dB gain. I also just either don’t use it or put it on an unimportant input source. Will send it away some day to get repaired but also don’t want to be without the mixrack for long!
