Thanks,
nice feature on the 48 pad, you can actually see how long you have to press it. Neat.

V1.81 is a maintenance release that fixes several minor issues. It also provides bigger controls for preamp gain and HPF, and meter colouring to match that of the ILIVE surface

2011/08/29 at 11:02 am #29117I would have liked the “out of memory” issue to be solved. This is not the case…
UPDATE: the memory issue did occur in demo mode, so far not in online mode.

I just got an iPad2 and it is able to run other apps with MixPad open. So it is a function of the hardware. I would suspect they now have the problem of whether or not to add features with the added memory of the new iPad. If so it will tend to tick off users of the earlier iPad or limit the apps you can run with MixPad. A win/lose situation.
P.S. Thanks to everyone that posted about using an iPad and how it worked out. That’s what I based my decision on and I haven’t regretted it yet. I even typed this on the iPad and am surprised at how fast I can do that already.

Lenova T61, M90, iPad soon I hope.2011/08/30 at 3:36 pm #29130Same here with the iPad2, seems to run fine with other apps still running. Would really like to see soft keys introduced and have the custom layers hold more than 16 channel strips (24 would be ideal for me) or maybe an iPhone / iPod app that just has 8 soft keys…
Cheers,
Gary.

iPad2 & MixPad2011/08/30 at 8:48 pm #29166I have to say, yamaha doen’t come near mixpad with their Stagemix, and obviously one s a free app while the other is purchased BUT, they did just add scene memory management to stagemix which is pretty damn handy for a lot of us. Hint, hint A&H

2011/08/31 at 1:22 am #29168With the new1.81 mixpad version running on a version 1 iPad I was able to also run the iPod music app and stream audio to my airpot express. Didn’t get any out of memory problems but I only tried it for a short time. I could switch between apps and it all seemed fine. From memory when I tried this on v1.80 it did give memory problems fairly quickly. Can anyone else confirm if this is actually different

Dual M-Dante/DVS, 17″MBP/Logic 9/Custom Mackie Control2011/09/04 at 12:49 am #29243I’ve been checking out other mixers iPad apps and even though I think A&H’s is way better than the rest the Presonus Studiolive does have one interesting feature. The graphic EQ can be put into a draw mode and as you drag your finger from one fader to the next the sliders jump to where you finger is, sorta like running your hand along a traditional outboard GEQ. I quite like this, the app is free so give it a ago. What’s the chance of getting this implemented on the MixPad app A&H?
Cheers,
Gary.

Yes… Suggested this with Editor about 2 years ago.
Just thought the Presonus feature was quite nice that’s all.
Cheers,
Gary.
