So apart from my new project recording the swampiest and dullest tones south of the delta, I’ve also been testing the Dante card…
So far I’m happy to report totally hassle free recording – I left the machine running last night & tracked 32 tracks in (a dozen mike lines with the gain wide open, a stereo iPod track, and a bunch of empty channels to see if I had any of the clicks and pops mentioned by others) with Reaper 64bit v3.76 to an external RAID1 enclosure via eSATA and it didn’t miss a trick.
I’ll have to go through and detail my exact specs so anyone with issues can try and get these same settings to work, but at the moment I’m feeling pretty confident in the card’s performance!

UPDATE: I recorded 32 tracks into Reaper for 3 solid hours on the weekend at a show & it didn’t skip a beat (except for when the whole venue’s power went out for 5 minutes…. bloody fridges and bain maries!!! Even then it found the DVC straight away and went back to recording without breaking a sweat once the power to the rack was restored)… I’m increasingly impressed with this card!!!

Still seems like it is a sample rate mismatch. Check in the DVC if it is syncing correctly with the network.
It’s not enough if all uses the same sample rate settings it has to be synced…

Hey Wes, I’ll post my settings ASAP – I did a show last night with about 30 lines into Dante & again it performed faultlessly so I think I’ve been lucky to hit on the right settings from the get go… I’ve just purchased a second license for my other laptop so the test will be if my luck holds on the other computer!!!

Ok, I’ve spoken with Dante support extensively. I’ve also exhausted all posible options. Including-

Try’d adjusting Dante Virtual Soundcard settings- I.E- Latency & Channel Count

Try’d a different computer-
Sony Vaio
2.4GHZ Dual Core
4GB Ram
Gbit Ethernet Port
Solid State External Drive
Installed Dante Virtual Soundcard, and Controller

Try’d different recording software all configured at 48k 24bit with Dante selected as the ASIO-

Logic
Pro Tools 9
Presonus Studio One

Try’d installing the Dante card in an completely different iLive system, and repeating process on both computers (MAC & PC)-

“Pops” still continue on just about every channel. Audinate assures me that it is not a clocking issue (I don’t see how it could be anyways). I’m pretty sure that I’ve just got a bad M-Dante Card. [] I’ll reply to this when a solution comes up. I want to document all this for anyone else’s future issues…….What are forums for, right?

Um, I definitely switched ethernet cables before switching computers, ilive systems, harddrives, etc. The chances of 4, pre-built, ethernet cables (that I tested with a Cat5E tester) being bad is slim to none.
