Still looking at ways of controlling the Editor software in a more hands on fashion, and was thinking about Novation’s Automap (and a controller like the Zero SL)…
I’m not a midi guy so I’ll defer to my betters on the forum – I emailed Novation about whether it was compatible with the iLive Editor and this was the reply:

The Zero SL MK II is effectively a MIDI device with a built in Template system. Automap is not officially compatible with the Allen and Heath ILIVE software. The Zero could effectively be manually assigned to the software if it supports MIDI learn or responds to CC information.

So would this work? I know Stix has posted a few things about what will and won’t work in iLive midi implementation, but I’m not thinking about direct midi connection to the iDR rack, but control within the laptop software… maybe I’m just dreaming here…
