Yes, it makes the channel safe from scene recalls, (you’ve had to change a mic & thus change the gate / EQ or something and don’t want you changes overwritten on the next scene recall). The feature has been accessible from the surface from day 1 – we’ve added it to editor for V1.5. If you don’t want the buttons there then you can hide them, under options/channel options/show scene safes buttons.
