Hello,I’ll be using the iLiveT112. I’ve been trying to get the iLive editor software to work on my mac powerbook G4 laptop. OS10.4.10… I am frustrated. I can get it to work on all of my other PC’s including an old Pentium Latitude… Just want to find out if anyone else has this working and if so please share the trick.
thanks,

Editor will run on 10.4.10 but only online. The offline option should be hidden, and is only available on the Mac on 10.5 at present. If your frustration relates to anything else please let me know.
Cheers.Andy

I’m using iLive 144 and I have PowerBook G4. I had system 10.4, but it worked only online (there was only one option to choose). So, I installed 10.5 and I have all three options. I press the “Offline” and I have a window with “select surface type, hardware config etc”. But when I press “OK” button, nothing happens On my MacBook Pro everything is allright, but in work with sound I use only PowerBook (MacBook is too expensive for me for live situation ). Could you help me?
Thanks, best regardsPS Sorry for my English, I can’t speak well

I’m assuming your PowerBook has a PowerPC not an Intel based processor.
Basically offline we only support Intel based Mac’s, there’s a note about it in the release notes.
The software should work on 10.5 online using a PowerPC based Mac though.

Andrew.

A&H2009/10/15 at 10:45 pm #24792mjpruzinParticipantHello,
just received my IDR-32 today and am trying to connect to MixRack only with my PowerPC G4 Powerbook running Leopard 10.5.8. I seem to recognize the MixRack but then I have the problem where once I click “OK” to advance nothing happens. I’m thinking about going back to Tiger anyway b/c the Powerbook is a bit more sluggish and testy in Leopard but otherwise still works great. I was planning to wait a year before I get a new laptop so I would love to see if this one will work…plus when I do get a new one this one might become dedicated to the MixRack for monitors (I run a 144 and IDR-10 FOH). Anyone here have success running a MixRack with a PowerPC Powerbook that can give me hope?
Thanks for any words of wisdom,
Jason

iLive Editor is only supported with Intel powered Mac’s – Power PC Mac’s may work with a full online session but not offline or Mixrack only mode.
1.53 will work with Snow Leopard, but only if you are running the 32-Bit version of Java.
To enable 32-Bit Java go to:-
Utilities – Java Preferences –
in the Java preferences – General page – there are 2 boxes:
Java applet plugin
Java application – set this to 32-Bit by click + dragging the 32-Bit so it is at the top of the selection box.Best Regards
