Mines a simple 2piece design, it has 100mm gap at the back, i didnt opt for a dogbox as i figured it wouldnt be needed.
10 handles, tourlabel and dish.https://www.spider-engineering.co.uk/music/listproducts.asp?modelid=4924
In fact that is my desk in the pictures, it was the first case they built for this desk.
Cheers

Just looking at the photo’s of your Mixrack/ raodcase set up. Looks impressive! What is the multi cable you use for the iLive – with power, 2 x Cat5, 1 x Audio? I’ve been looking for something like that. I have found the Sommer Cable SC-MonoCat Power212 ( https://www.sommercable.com/2__default/index.html ) which looks good but expensive. Have you had any issues with power and data down the same cable? Also have you terminated this to a plug socket at the rack end that accepts the different cable types including mains power or does it split out to tails?
Cheers

I use the pinanson ( spain) cable. it is a power(3*1.5mm2),1 audio/dmx,2 UTPCAT5.(60m)
But i am not fully satisfied. The network status on the surface indicates sometimes that there are some errors in the utp connection ( orange or sometimes red ). This happens only when people walk over the cable. When the cable is up in the air or out of the way all is fine.
Although I never lost connection or had zero glitches i will buy a second separate utp cable for very critical shows. I think neutrik . Watch out, there is a new document in the knowledge base about the type off utp that will work. Belden 1305A was in the previous supported cable but now it is ruled out as sufficient.(Cat5 cable for ACE: https://allen-heath.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=198&nav=0,5 )
I put a multi pin on the cable with the connections available on a 19inch panel ( see photo )kind regards

Hi Lieven,
That multipin connection might cause some trouble. The twisted pair in the UTP cable does have to remain twisted all the time. Even 2cm of untwisting may endanger the datatransfer quality. Note that the cables will not be twisted in the connectors, hence the reason why network connectors are always pretty short. Add to this people walking on the cable and you might end up with the problems you describe.

I could bypass the multi connector and split the cable into power and the two UTP and XLR. With separate connectors. that should solve the twisting. I ‘ll give it a try and let you guys know.
Kind regards
