Technically I think it should be possible to run the Editor on the iPhone inside the java environment as I believe the editor is just a Java app.

However, I don’t have an iPhone to try it on and..
I’m guessing there is probably a minimum screen resolution that the Editor software needs to run and i’m betting its way above that of an iPhone.

Personally, I don’t think its is practical.
The next best is to go and pick up a cheap Asus netbook which is tiny and run it on that over WiFi. You can walk around punter land and EQ from that and it will be much quicker and way more reliable.

The problem starts when your audience start EQ’ing with their phones.
    Sounds like an interesting app.

So is the editor software available in Linpus yet?
I have an Acer netbook running Linpus that has the usual Wi-Fi stuff that would be a nice neat sollution for me.
Any thoughts Rob,Andy you know I am too thick to work it out for myself.
Would be handy for my usual summer of classical pick-nicks,Tee Hee.

Hey dunno if it would be possible but if the iphone or ipod could be used through the usb port on the desk. I mean if the audio output from the iphone connector could be used which is of a better quality than the 3.5mm jack it would be pretty sweet to be able to have the iphone/ipod connect as an input through the usb port?

Its prob not possible but just an idea.

The iPhone doesn’t support Java officially (you would need to jailbreak it in order to do so). Steve Jobs doesn’t like Java. iPhone apps must be developed in Objective C which can interface with existing C code with no problems.

So you would have to use the AHNet C code and wrap a nice Cocoa interface around it.

EDIT: did I mention I’m an iphone developer now?

EDIT2: And apple are opening up the specs for using the phone’s usb port with custom hardware, but I’m not sure if getting better audio would be possible/worth it.
