    SQ-6

If I plug in an unbalanced 1/4″ TS cable to the 1/4″ balanced A/B outs, will the SQ-6 convert that to an unbalanced signal? I’m trying to find the right cable to go from the A/B outs to an RCA stereo input on our Boxcaster box for streaming. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on this, and I want to make sure I don’t wear any components out on the board long-term by using the wrong type of cable.

    Thanks!

    That will work fine.

Though….depending on the video system set up you may need to use an isolation transformer in line between the mixer and the Boxcaster if you get hum either on the live stream audio and or in the sound system.

How long is the audio cable run from the mixer to the Boxcaster?

    It’s less that 6 feet. Maybe 3 or 4.

    That will be fine.

I was thinking if it was a long run then going balanced line to the Boxcaster and at that point via a transformer go unbalanced to the Boxcaster input.
