While it is disheartening to find a defect in a board you spent a lot of money on, electronic components are subject to infant mortality. Hopefully you will take bigger notice how AH responds to this issue. Since the scribble strip color is not a “Gig Killer” you should get appropriate response from them. By that I mean quick and effective but not Herculean. I would expect Herculean effort if the board was unusable.

Please let us know how AH responds. My wager is you will be assured of their resolve in the end. I have never needed AH warranty help but I hear good things about their response.
