David, the way I read it, the iLive supports a total of 16 connections. Two are used for the connection to a Surface if you are using one – leaving 14 available for other devices. Since other devices require one connection each, you could connect a maximum of 14 other devices – like iPads. If you were running the iLive without a Surface using MixPad instead, you could connect 16 iPads. Test to ensure your router can handle it!
