We use a Fiberfox (longest fiber cable: 150m) with good results. Converters are Allied Telesyn. I think it is this one: https://www.alliedtelesis.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=4&lid=1
Of course it costs some money but has the advantage of being able to carry video signals or a second network over the same fiber.
