The dLive website says that you can use 3rd party controllers with the dLive over TCP/IP. Can you use the Behringer X-Touch?

Can you use a GLD in TCP/IP mode as a controller?

No, in this instance ‘3rd party controllers’ refers to Crestron, AMX or similar control systems that can send/receive custom messages over TCP/IP. One typical application is the integration with other equipment such as light, video etc.
The details of the TCP/IP protocol will be published with firmware V1.5 but for anyone interested, the GLD MIDI TCP protocol offers a good starting point for simple Scene recall or input level / mute control.

    Nicola,

I look forward to reading about that when it’s released. Thanks!

You COULD use an X-Touch if you have conversion and midi patch software to do the conversion of custom messages to/from the dLive. I did it in Logic for a Mackie control to work with iLive but it was a LOT of work! MUCH MUCH easier to just buy the IP6 and IP8 controllers!!!
