    Hello!

On monday I’m recording a demo song for band. I record in Cubase, Qu-16 is my soundcard. I really really like qu-16’s reverbs (mostly halls) for this type of music. I’m wondering how it would be possible to record tracks with fx on them. I’m recording tracks separately. Do I record separate tracks and also stereo FX returns for them? Or is it even possible in that way?

    Thank you for your help!

Either record the fx returns or redo it later, the. You can playback and record the reverb at your leisure later.

    USB routing is your friend

You can route the sources and the FX to a stereo mix, and assign that to tracks. If it were me, I’d also keep the raw ttracks for possible later changes…

Or route FX only to their own tracks and mix them later, of course.
