I mix from stage while playing Rhythm guitar and Vocals. We play 3 sets a night with 2 breaks, I provide the background music in between sets. Last weekend I was messing with getting the monitor mix right for one of the guys and left it on Aux 2, then at the end of the set turned around and raised the fader for the Mp3 player. Well I was still on the Aux mix, so we could hear it on stage but the crowd didn’t get much of anything. Obviously I just need to pay better attention, but in my case where I only mix from stage, it would be nice if it would automatically revert back to my LR mix after 30 or 60 seconds, so when I turned around to throw the fader I wouldn’t have to make sure I was on the LR layer. This wouldn’t be for everyone but it would work for me.
