I am having trouble getting a clean input signal running QU mix out to MPC 2500.

I suspect the input is blown on the MPC, or there is an impedance mismatch (MPC input = -40dBu / 11K ohms) and (QU Output = +4 dbu / 75 Ohms)

The MPC has a digital input (1x left and 1x right RCA / SPDIF inputs). The MPC operates at 44.1 – 16 bit.

It looks like the QU-24 AES out is 24 bit – 48k.

Can I simply make an XLR female Y-cable to 2-RCA’s to test this?

Is the sample rate / bit depth mismatch going to cause this not to work?

Any advice on correcting the analog levels or adapting to digital?

    Thanks!

Is it possible to adjust mix output levels from line level to mic level? This might fix my issue. I’m using mix 5-6.

Use a stereo DI or some sort of line-to-mic adapter (Shure makes one) to change the line level output to mic level for your MPC.
