    Hello,

At the moment I have updated my Dante Card in the iDR32 to get a full “redundant” network.
So plugging in my both CAT5E cables into a Cisco SG300 – 20 switcher (which has a 3 VLAN setup : 1 to acces te switcher, 1 for the primary and 1 for the secundary)
After the switcher I have a Xilica Neutrino as DSP for the speaker system.

When all is plugged in, all seems to work fine.
Do I unplug one of the dante cables from the iDR the audio continues for a little while (lets say 15 sec) and then has a drop out for about a second or so and then continue’s again.
This happens again when I plug the cable back into the iDR.

Any suggestions why this happens and how to solve this?

    Cheers

    Koen

    Hello Koen,

Does this happen when you disconnect either cable or is it just one of them?

    This happens with both cables.
Does not matter whitch I unplug.

Someone said that I should’t make a “default clock master” in the Dante Controller. (which I had set to the Neutrino)
So that the network decides on it’s own who is the master clock.
And then the iDR clock should be slaved to the Dante Card.

    Cheers

Just to point out you can’t have full redundancy if all your cables connect back to the same switch. You’re only moving your point of failure to a different location.

With regards to your issue, is spantree portfast enabled?

I’d check your master clock settings. I’d try setting the master for everything to the Dante card in your PortB.
